F.I.R.S.T LEGO League Robotics
What it is:
Half Moon Bay Robotics and the Boys & Girls Club of the Coastside are
continuing on this spring—FIRST LEGO (TM) League Robotics” for students in grades
2nd to 5th. “Explore” introduces science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM)
to kids through fun, exciting, hands-on learning for grades 2-3rd.
This Spring we added “Challenge” for Grades 4th-5th, which introduces competition
robotics.
Where:
Boys & Girls Club of the Coastside (600 Church St., HMB. Next to Cunha MS)
When:
The following Ten Fridays from 3:30 - 5:00pm this Fall!
March 6, 13, 20, * No class 27
April 3, 10, * No class 17 or 24
May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
Participants must commit to all 10 dates.
Note to all parents/ families this is a drop off/ pick up program
Who:
Inquisitive 2nd to 5th graders, who show a desire to build stuff, have fun, and
take on new challenges.
Our Teacher: Lead teacher is Petra Patton (Half Moon Bay Robotics). All staff and
volunteers are fully vetted/ fingerprinted/ screened

today! All participants must get a 2025-2026 BGCC Membership, which is $50. Go to
bgccoastside.org/become-a-member/ to become a BGCC member. In addition, we
ask for a donation of $50 to help defer some of the cost of materials. That’s $10 a
session!
