The Half Moon Bay Robotics high school team (FRC Team 8793 - the "Pumpkin Bots") was founded as a high school team in 2022 and was honored with multiple awards in the first year. The Pumpkin Bots were invited to the National Competition to compete with teams from all over the world!

Many Bay Area teams have 20-40 students, while HMB’s team is smaller, with closer to 10 active students. A key advantage of a smaller team is that everybody gets a chance to work on the robot and learn skills in a number of different technical and business/marketing areas.

HMB Robotics meets 2x week and more often during competition season, usually on Wed nights and Sunday afternoons. Competition season is January - May, but there are opportunities to get involved off season too!
