Pumpkin Bots: FRC Team 8793

Our Story

The Half Moon Bay Robotics high school team, FRC Team 8793 "the Pumpkin Bots," was founded in 2022 and won multiple awards in its first year, including an invitation to the FIRST World Championship.

Many Bay Area teams have 20–100 students. HMB's team is smaller, with about 10 active students. On a smaller team, everybody gets to work on the robot and learn skills in technical, business, and marketing areas.

We meet twice a week year-round, and more often during competition season (January–May). There are opportunities to get involved in the off-season too!
